Veterans
We all swore an oath to the constitution!
Rep. Norma Torres has violated her Oath of Office in multiple ways. Any veteran who votes for, or supports her, potentially does so in violation of their own Oath of Office or Enlistment to defend the Constitution against “all enemies, foreign and domestic”.
Norma Torres voted in support of Socialism (H. Con. Res. 9), which is an alternate form of government to our Constitutional Republic and a clear Article 6 violation. No veteran who swore an oath to defend our Constitution can ever support someone who votes against it.
Norma refused to condemn the Biden Open Borders policy (H.R. 957) and has always advocated for a wide-open Southern border which has resulted in an invasion of the United States and is a direct violation of Article 4 Sect 4 of the Constitution.
Norma Torres supports classes like “How to cross-dress in the military” and “De-constructing Patriotism” being taught in our Military Academies.
Norma Torres has consistently refused to condemn the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan and the loss of life and limb sustained by our troops, not to mention the $85 billion in weapons and equipment that have wound up in the arms of our enemies.
Norma has prioritized the needs and the support of Ukraine (at least $250 Billion) over homeless and hurting American vets.
One of the areas of deepest concern for our veterans is suicide, nearly 22 per day! I have a friend who is a decorated veteran and was diagnosed with PTSD. He never had any thoughts of suicide…until they changed his pain medication, then it was all he could do to NOT kill himself. How many cases of veteran suicide are actually medically induced?
Furthermore, what about the disintegration of the American family (which Democrats have led a full-frontal assault against)? I can tell you, first-hand, that the greatest threat to a soldier’s successful re-integration into civilian life is the absence of a stable, caring and loving environment at home.
I am a third generation Army officer. My grandfather received a battlefield commission in WWII. He went on to serve in the Korean War and commanded a battalion in Vietnam. Later, he retired with 100% disability and was buried with full military honors. My biological father was killed by a sniper in Vietnam as a young Lieutenant who left behind his wife, his son and a daughter he’d never met. My mother re-married one of his West Point classmates (who I consider my actual “father”) who received two Purple Hearts and was killed a couple years ago by Covid protocols. I served on active duty as an Army Officer for a brief period during Desert Storm.
The care of and concern for our Veterans is very personal to me and will always be at the forefront of my mind and at the top of my priorities.
